Pressman Orthotics began in 1992, due to a rising need for patients to fill their prescriptions for custom footwear. Stuart Pressman, frustrated with the faults of mass production orthotic laboratories, felt there was a need for a local orthotic laboratory, with licenced and certified personnel. Orthotics are now made on site from start to finish. Every step in the process of making the orthosis, from the positive cast to selecting the appropriate materials based on the patients needs, is completed in house. If the finished orthosis need to be modified, it can be corrected right away. There Is no need to mail an orthosis back for a modification & then wait weeks to get it back. Pressman Orthotics has since grown to accomodate patients needs for orthopedic shoes (ready & custom made), diabetic footwear, external shoe modifications, off the shelf footcare products, as well as custom made foot orthoses. Stuart Pressman is a Florida Licensed Certified Pedorthist and a Florida Licensed and Certified Orthotist. He has over a decade of experience in the design and fabrication of custom orthotic products. After achieving his certification as an Orthotist he went on to study Pedorthic management of foot disorders, clinical concepts, and fabrication techniquas at Northwestern University, to become a Certified Pedorthist. A member of the Prescription Footwear Association (PFA) he is active in continuing education, keeping up with the new innovations and techniques in a fast paced and growing field Stuart has other certificates of completion and certificates of excellence adorning his lab walls from Jobst (Custom made compression hosiery), Sigvaris, Medi-Strumpf, Juzo, Camp. etc. |
